I knew David during the last decade of his life, but only from a distance. He was the other Father-in-law. I remember David standing in the desert giving words of wisdom to the new bride and groom. He spoke with fondness of the "Ancients, the Old Ones who came before us and now are gone." David's earthly bonds are broken and his pain is gone. He has joined the "Ancient ones."
